The Bartenders Bar was founded by
Ryan Johnson & D.C. in Minneapolis, MN. I am
a bartender who wanted to build a bar in my home. I
searched the internet and was able to find many interesting
prospects. I purchased several bar plans, but was
dismayed when I realized that I couldn't build these bars without
the use of a router, table saw and other advanced woodworking
tools. So I went to work designing and building my own home
bar, and would like to offer my plans to help others build a
bar using just basic woodworking tools. When designing my bar, I thought through many of
the needs that I, as a bartender, felt was important to having
a functional home bar. I offer eight ways to finish off any of
the "cabinet" sections of your bar, so you can customize your
bar to suit your needs.
Once I had my new home bar built, I wanted to set it
up to host a party. When searching for the tools that I needed
to set up my home bar, I was disappointed with what was
available at most house-ware stores. They have bar tools that
look nice and seem functional, but compared to the restaurant
quality tools we were used to, I was not impressed.
A classic example is the three piece cocktail strainer (shaker tin,
lid with built in strainer, shot glass cover). This three
piece strainer looks like it would be great for making shots and
martinis, but most of these leak when you are shaking them and/or
you can not pull them apart. I have found that nothing
beats the old fashioned shaker tin, glass and strainer system I use
when bartending. So I also wanted to offer bar products to

I also wanted to offer a basic bartending manual
